The live music industry has taken an enormous blow over the last few months, and it’s so important to support your favorite artists in this crazy time. Here’s some great words from our UK based management @incendia_music
“Our beloved music industry has been completely compromised by the Covid-19 pandemic.
needs to acknowledge the severity of the situation and to inject cash to ensure that we can rebuild our industry together and to ensure artists and their teams have a future.
So many of us depend on live music as a revenue stream - everyone from managers, agents, labels, promoters, live venues and their staff, festivals, PR and media folk, touring crew, merch companies, musical equipment companies, transport companies, catering companies, independent vendors who have stalls at live events and most importantly- the artists themselves. (The list goes on but you get the idea of the domino effect this has). It's also detrimental to the fans who use live music as an opportunity, an escape, a release, a holiday, a coming together, and a way to support the artists for bringing them music that means something to them.
I'm inspired by the creativity and innovation that has been displayed by lots of artists and businesses during this time in order to bring live music to the fans in one way or another and I encourage you all to keep going. I'm sorry to everyone this has impacted and I really hope that we see a clearer vision of what our live music industry will look like as soon as possible.
I just hope the government recognises that this isn't a negotiable cause and that it's paramount for them to take action.”
