Others evolve over time, making slow but steady progress and becoming increasingly popular with every new release, even after more than two decades. The uncrowned kings of depressive rock/metal, Katatonia, are a classic example of the second category. These melancholy souls have been around for a quarter century but they’ve never been more popular than they are today.
